Medium straw appearance. The aroma is a medley of nectarine, peach, apple blossom, with hints of almond and nutty richness. These aromas flow onto the richly textured palate that displays summer stone-fruit notes with hints of almond and a bright citrus finish that lingers and refreshes.

Hand-picked Hawke’s Bay Mendoza Chardonnay was whole bunch pressed, with only free run juice progressing to ferment in two concrete egg fermenters. Egg shaped fermenters keep yeast lees in suspension through the naturally occurring convection currents unique to the egg shape. Purity of fruit is maintained, richness and texture build, and the wine develops in a way totally different to stainless steel tanks or oak barrels. There is an element of minerality imparted through the winemaking process in concrete eggs that is usually apparent on the finish. Minimally handled through to bottling.

She had 1 best friend I wish we could have seen a little bit more of their friendship in this book. Her relationship with the male characters was good not to contrived or super instantaneous. And we had some fun plot twists that I didn't expect. I wish we had more of a follow up on the situation with her family her background and her mother who was a wench. I would definitely recommend this book.
